Suman's professional journey is rich with impactful endeavors. Currently stationed at the Department of Partnership and Strategic Initiatives in Gorakhpur, she assumes the role of a Project Manager, spearheading the implementation of the NIPUN Bharat initiative. Her academic journey includes a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Jadavpur University and a Master's degree in Social Work from the esteemed Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai.
Before her tenure with the CSF, Suman made significant strides with Samarthya in Nagaland, where she played a pivotal role in the World Bank-supported 'Nagaland Education Project - The Lighthouse (NECTAR).' This ambitious initiative aimed at elevating the quality and learning outcomes of government schools across Nagaland, impacting a staggering 1,932 schools. Her collaboration with Samagra Shiksha Nagaland was instrumental in the successful implementation of various programs, from SMC/SMDC Guidelines approval to rolling out Parent-teacher plans, showcasing her expertise in stakeholder engagement and project management.
Beyond her regional engagements, Suman's altruistic spirit shines through her involvement in CSR projects spanning four states, positively impacting the educational experiences of over 5,000 children. Her professional pursuits are deeply rooted in her passion for the intersection of caste, gender, and education. Suman remains intellectually curious about the evolving landscape of public policy and administration in India, driven by a profound commitment to societal progress.
