Dr. Sanjeev Rai
Dr. Sanjeev Rai, is an expert on education, author and public speaker on social issues.
He has worked earlier as OSD with the Governor of Jharkhand, the Swedish Committee for Afghanistan( Kabul, Education Above All Foundation, (Doha-Qatar) and with Save the Children, UNICEF, CARE and Aga Khan Foundation in India. He has more than 20 years of experience working in the development sector.
Dr Rai has worked as an Adjunct Professor with the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, India. He has also taught at the University of Delhi, Ambedkar University-Delhi and National Law University-Delhi.
Dr Rai writes in leading English and Hindi publications, including Deccan Herald, Indian Express, Telegraph, Tribune, Jansatta, Sahara, Prabhat Khabar and Hindustan. He appears on TV discussions on NDTV, Aajak, and News 24. His poetry collection, 74 , was awarded by Hindi Academy-Delhi in 2002.
Dr Sanjeev has served as a steering group member of the Global Education Initiative of Save the Children, International. Dr Rai is the former co-chair of the Global Alliance on education in post-conflict and conflict-affected countries.
Dr Sanjeev was invited to Nepal for the deliberations on 'Schools as a Zones of Peace' in 2012. As an invited speaker, Dr Sanjeev attended the global inequality conference in October 2017 at the University of Washington, Saint Louis, USA.
He has studied Philosophy and Political Science at the University of Allahabad and has done an M.Ed, M.Phil and PhD (Education) from the University of Delhi, India.
